CLPOA was established to bring a quantitative change in the lives of children living in difficult circumstances by providing basic protection and services as stated in the UN Convention of the Rights of Child and then ensuring a sense of dignity and empowerment for these children..

Through its various phases of development, today, CLPOA has emerged as one of the prime non-governmental, non-profit making organizations in the state of West Bengal. It is a member of several national and international level networks. In collaboration with its funding partners, it reaches out to inumerable children including adolescents, to bring about meaningful changes in their lives. CLPOA is actively involved in capacity building, sensitization and involving the stakeholders with a view to empower them to handle issues better, that is augmented by way of awareness, education, advocacy and allocation of resources.
