City Level Programme of Action with support from Samagra Shiksha Mission (SSM) Kolkata is facilitating the operation of a residential unit to support underprivileged girls who are deprived of basic elementary education and were dwelling in vulnerable environments in and around Kolkata since 2016.The uniqueness of this residential unit being its location within the school premises and the children attend the same formal Government School.
Residential unit is located in the premises of Bijoygarh Balika Vidyapith at Bijoygarh in the southern part of Kolkata.
CLPOA ensures that children are provided not only with education but also a sound mind and body by providing them a healthy and lively environment to live in and also encouraging extra –curricular activities to bring out the best in every child.

Beneficiaries Covered:

Currently 80 girls are availing the facilities.

14 children appeared in Madhyamik examination and all of them secured 2nd Division
